Ag Association monthly meeting
February 18, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
It has come to the attention of the Ag Association that several people have questions and concerns about the 2019 fair schedule. We have discussed how to best approach those concerns by the public at our meeting Monday February 18th at 7PM at the Extension office. We will allow time for anyone who feels the need to state their concerns. There will be a time limit for discussion as we still have a full meeting to hold and other business to discuss. We will also invite animal superintendents to answer any questions that may be directed towards them. There are some things that need to be known before this meeting.
1. This schedule was put together by superintendents of all projects, not just animals, that attended our July 2018 superintendents meeting. The July meeting is to address any concerns from the previous fair and to set the schedule for the upcoming year.
2. This schedule has been agreed to by superintendents at said meeting. It has also been voted on and passed by the Ag Association. No changes will be made for the 2019 fair.
3. We always welcome the public to attend our meetings. They are always the 3rd Monday of every month at 7pm at the extension office. However this is a meeting of the board members and if you have something that needs to be discussed please contact a board member to make sure you get on the agenda as a guest to speak. Our goal is to always put on a fair that works for all parties involved; be it parents, 4-H members, superintendents, board members, public, and animal safety. These decisions are not made lightly and there are good reasons for any changes that are made. Please remember that we are all volunteers trying to make a fun and meaningful program for the 4-Hers. Input is always appreciated, but is better received when it’s in a polite and positive manner.
Thank you,
Josh Phares
