A Day of Love & Caring

Hello friends. We have been asked about donations for A Day of Love and Caring 2020. We are so grateful that you are ready to start gathering gift items for our kids on Christmas eve. This year’s event is going to look very different than in the past, due to Covid restrictions. We can only have a bare minimum number of people volunteer at a time and we are drastically down-sizing for this year, at least. We will be bagging up gifts based on age and gender ahead of time. The parents will not be able to shop as in past years. As they come in, they will let us know how many meals they would like to take home for their meal. We will then have them move to the exit door where they will receive meals and gifts. This will minimize the number of people in the building and will expedite getting folks in and out. We will add contact info concerning volunteering after December 1. As for now, our wish list is as follows: Infant toys, games and puzzles for all ages, batteries for toys that require them, Legos or other types of building sets, dolls, matchbox cars, farm or construction toys, reading books, activity books, coloring books, art sets, jewelry sets, science experiment type sets, cards, card games, RC toys, hats, gloves, Trial size perfumes and colognes (for teens), food or gas gift cards (for teens), basically anything you feel led to contribute. If you are inclined to help, but not shop, you can mail a contribution directly to God’s Open Arms Ministry, 201 E, North St., Greenfield, Indiana 46140. We have folks ready to shop for us.
