Improvements to the Hancock County Fairgrounds in 2020

2020 Hancock County Fairgrounds improvement project for the exhibit hall.
Matt Strahl and family along with Don Strahl volunteered over 100 hours working on upgrades to the exhibit hall displays and ribbon box used during the fair. Their work is greatly appreciated by the Hancock County 4-H Ag Association and all the exhibit hall volunteers and committee. It made for a stable 4-H display area that has been used for many years and was needing some reinforcements to be used for many additional years.
The improvements list (2020 Exhibit Hall Display Improvements) made for the 2020 fair. This is a project that many were unable to see during the fair, but improves the safety of the displays used to showcase 4-H projects during the fair.
East Show Arena
Special thanks to Sean Kelley (Sarah Kelley) a member of the Cool Clovers 4-H club for selecting the Hancock County Fairgrounds west show barn for his Eagle Project. The Hancock Community Foundation, Ag Association, Sean’s Church, scout members as well as family and friends supported the project with funds and project work. The A Rookie Design developed the barn quilt squares that represent the animals who use the building.
Sean designed a very attractive project that will welcome people as they enter the fairgrounds throughout the year. When you see Sean tell him thank you for supporting the Fairgrounds.
Bathroom Renovation
The Hancock County Tourism provided a grant to support the improvements to the exhibit hall restrooms. The bathrooms were completely gutted and updates made.
